General Description: The scandic linköping city is a classy, glass-fronted hotel overlooking the stångån river, located single kilometre from the cathedral and three kilometres from the old town. This six-floor hotel features 216 air- conditioned guestrooms, decorated in contemporary nordic style using a palate of warm earthy colours, with wooden floors and panorama windows which open onto balconies overlooking the river. All rooms include satellite tv with pay movies, high-speed internet connections and minibars. Guests benefit from flattering use of the 24-hour livingwell gym, equipped with classy cardiovascular machines and free weights, as well as an exercise bike, treadmill and stepper. After a workout guests can unwind in the sauna, which has separate areas for men and women. The contemporary restaurant is naturally lit by floor-to- ceiling windows overlooking the river and park; mediterranean cuisine is served and in the summer guests can dine on the outdoor terrace. Business guests enjoy access to 10 meeting rooms, all with natural daylight and audio-visual equipment, and a business centre which is open round-the-clock. Wireless internet access is available throughout the public areas for guests who wish to plan a day's sightseeing, and staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide further information on local attractions and activities.
