General Description: This is a cute and centrally located property which was voted best hotel in malmo in 2003 & 2004. It offers the opening to stay in a 700 year old historic building whilst being near convey links and restaurants. (06/06 lc). This is a very traditional building of the locality with history dating back to the 13th century, both danish and swedish kings acquire visited this outstanding building when it functioned as the residence of the governor of malmã¶. Rooms are decorated in two different schemes, a traditional ritzy english style and a lighter swedish style. All rooms are well equipped with some of the rooms boasting balconies. The bathrooms are all in good condition. Breakfast is served in the medieval vaulted breakfast room under the hotel. The lobby is mid-range in size and complements the property very well. Coffee/ tea and fruit is normally available in the cosy lounge adjoining the lounge complimentary. The lobby also offers wireless internet access as does approx 70% of ther hotel. Centrally located and only a stones throw from the pedestrianised shopping streets, around the corner from `stortorget` and near malmo train station where there are continuous trains to stockholm, the rest of sweden, kastrup airport and to copenhagen centremost station.
