The family-owned camp ripan sits below the luossavaara mountains, which rise from a landscape of birch and marsh. Guests will appreciate the fresh air and the close proximity to both the city and the wilderness.
Enjoy views of pure white snow from the comfort of the cosy hotel cabins. The classy interior design blends bright birch wood and cool steel with vivid touches inspired by local sami culture.
Each of ripan's cabins has a private entrance. many offer fully equipped kitchenettes, convenient ski storage, parking space and sockets for car engine heaters.
A big number attractions are easily accessed from ripan. Visit the esrange space centre or the lkab infomine, which is the world's largest underground iron ore mine.
Camp ripan is an exclusive site close to the ski tracks. During winter, guests can try their hand at downhill or cross-country skiing before gathering around the fireplace in the lobby. Snowmobile rides, moose safaris and dog sledding tours can also be arranged.
Guests can try ice-fishing, take a sauna or hope to experience the magical northern lights during their stay.
