Built in 1961 and renovated in 2000, it is totally self contained with its own 24-hour reception area. The residence is the highest building in alvik and commands superb views over kungsholmen and southern stockholm. Its position at tranebergs plan means that it is a stone's throw from all of alvik's primary amenities including hair salon, konsum supermarket, newsagents, dry cleaners, and chemist. More shops can be found opposite the underground station in alviks torg, a smaller self-contained shopping precinct which includes a mcdonalds eatery, post office and large ica supermarket. The district is also unique in that it has its own domestic airport.
